Research performed by Mother Earth News on eggs laid by hens raised on pasture from various flocks in the United States indicate that such eggs have seven times as much beta carotene, 3 times as much vitamin E, twice as many omega-3 fatty acids and 2/3rds as much vitamin A than the average egg from a chicken raised indoors.
